CHÂTEAU MAINE REYNAUD
Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Our Château Maine Reynaud is produced on our plots on the Saint-Laurent des Combes plateau - Lieux-dits Le Maine and Reynaud -, in the heart of the Saint-Emilion Jurisdiction.
The vines on these 5 hectares are 30 to 35 years old.
The soil is sandy clay on the surface, and gravelly in depth. It is the relative lightness of this terroir that gives this vintage all its finesse and elegance.
The grape varieties are largely dominated by Merlot (75%), supplemented by Cabernet Franc (25%).
This St Émilion Grand Cru is aged for 12 months in fine-grained French oak barrels before being bottled on the property.
This timeless vintage, our core range , produces on average 20 to 25,000 bottles.
Tasting: Full-bodied but not astringent; elegant and very versatile for food and wine pairings.
Vintages available: 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
All vintages are gold medalists.
